The Porcelain Gallery is a headquarters for leading tile experts set in a redundant car park in Central London. The new-build office occupied four shipping containers that were sprayed to match the colours of the surrounding conservation area and positioned to frame trees adjacent to the site.

From the door buzzer to the staircase handrail, there is a haptic sense of clay and glaze within the architecture. Each surface and detail made by its in-house ceramicist. Outside, the external cortex staircase has a dolly-mixture that as your hand moves, so does its texture. The project was shortlisted for the London RIBA Awards.
