A Victorian terraced house with three new extensions and distinct use of concrete and plywood. Inside, the floors, doors, walls, and ceilings form a single white-washed palette. Junctions between the edges of the plywood are carefully controlled so you can see and feel the end grain, at just the right moment.
Expansive frameless glazing on the upper floors brings the sky itself into the space. Sun and rain create patterns of shadow. In the open plan kitchen and dining area, exposed concrete walls are cast onto foundations acting as the internal finish of the room. Above, a warm deck roof rests with further exposed plywood structure.
